In a jury trial in Greene County district court, Jesse Lynn Crawford, 27, of Jamaica was found not guilty June 26 of assault-aggravated, burglary-first degree, and being a felon in possession of a fire arm. A judgment was entered against Crawford for $100 court costs. The Honorable William Ostlund presided over the trial.
Disposition was entered June 27 against Thomas James Petrzilka, 29, of Scranton after he pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal mischief- aggravated misdemeanor, amended from criminal mischief-second degree. He was sentenced to two years in prison. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. The minimum fine and surcharge were suspended, but Petrzilka must pay a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge, $120 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees, and $132.48 court costs. A companion case in magistrate court in which Petrzilka was charged with harassment was dismissed. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria Kester)
Persons pleaded not guilty as follows: Adam Vaughn Bauer, 30, of Paton, OWI-first offense; Jody Lynn Schad, 39, of Jefferson, operating while intoxicated (OWI)-third offense; Hayley Lynn Brown, 21, of Jefferson, driving while license barred; Jennifer Wendy Gohn Chavez, 42, of Jamaica, driving while license revoked; Jacob Eugene Day, 24, of Jefferson, criminal mischief-second degree; and Lloyd Earl Dagit, 75, of Jefferson, OWI-first offense. Trial dates were set for Aug. 26 in every case.
Cases were initiated in district court during the week that ended June 27 as follows: Christopher Adelbert Laurent, 45, of Grand Junction, domestic abuse assault and false imprisonment; and Thomas Michael Launderville, 44, of Grand Junction, OWI-first offense.
